Funding and business development

Funding and business development for agricultural and agro-industrial projects

A sound technical project needs a sound business plan and the right funding. We help you structure the project for public grants and investors, and connect it with industrial and commercial partners.

Engineering as the foundation of the business plan

Investors and public bodies fund credible projects: a well-costed investment, a realistic production capacity and a schedule that can be met. Because we are the engineers who design the facility, the business plan is built on solid technical figures, not estimates.

We know European funding first-hand: we take part in the GO Hempnova Operational Group, co-funded by the EAFRD, and we have supported international investors in medical cannabis projects in Portugal.

How we help

  1. Feasibility study

Investment, operating costs, revenue and scenarios, backed by the technical design.
  2. Grants and subsidies

EU funds (EAFRD, Operational Groups), and grants for agri-food processing and innovation.
  3. Investor dossier

Technical and financial documentation to present the project to investors and lenders.
  4. Licensing and market

Regulatory advice and contacts with buyers, technology partners and distributors.

Frequently asked questions

What grants are available for an agro-industrial project?

It depends on the type of project, its location and the promoter. The most common are the grants for processing and marketing agricultural products and the innovation grants (Operational Groups) under Spain's CAP Strategic Plan, together with national R&D&I instruments. We review the open calls for your case.

Do you handle the grant application?

We prepare the technical report, the budget and the project documentation, and coordinate the application with the consultancy or organisation that submits it.
