How is the workflow of a Quality Control Laboratory From Request to Final Results?

As Production Manager at Equilibrium Labs, I coordinate the departments responsible for managing the sample analysis process, ensuring the quality of the results and the delivery of our final product: the Test Report. Our laboratory operates across various environmental business areas (water, environmental hygiene, soil, food, etc.), as well as in the field of product testing (medical devices, masks, PPE, cosmetics, textiles, etc.).

Within the environmental area, I would like to highlight our support for medical cannabis production, where we help our clients meet the demanding requirements of GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practices).

Our workflow involves several critical stages that ensure accurate and reliable results for our clients. The process begins with the client’s formal request, which may involve samples from various sources. Our commercial and administrative team ensures that all specifications and requirements are clearly understood, allowing us to prepare a suitable proposal. Once the proposal is approved, the agreement is formalized and the logistical process begins.

Depending on the client’s needs, we organize the scheduling of sampling and the preparation of an annual Quality Control Plan, or the delivery of samples to our facilities. The Sampling Department team ensures that all transport and reception procedures are carried out with maximum precision and compliance.

Sample processing is a critical phase, where we use validated methodologies, always based on the rigor of the standard for technical competence of testing laboratories, ISO 17025 accreditation, ensuring the accuracy of the results. As an accredited laboratory, Equilibrium Labs guarantees impartiality and consistency in operations, increasing client confidence and facilitating international recognition of results.

The Chemical and Microbiology departments stand out for their competence in performing the necessary analyses, always in full compliance with applicable standards.

Once the results are validated, we generate a certified and detailed Test Report, which constitutes the final product of the sample analysis. This document provides essential information for the client and is one of the most important tools for monitoring cannabis production in accordance with GACP, ensuring the necessary data and knowledge of any potential contamination throughout the client’s production.

At Equilibrium Labs, we are committed to ensuring that every step of our workflow is carried out with trust, expertise, and competence, always aligned with our values and the specific requirements of each business area. Support for medical cannabis production is just one of the many areas in which we operate, always with the aim of delivering high-quality and compliant solutions.
