Prominent Brazilian scientist, has dedicated his career to exploring the medicinal benefits of plants, with a particular focus on cannabis. During the 1970s, Carlini and his team conducted pioneering research that led to the discovery of the therapeutic effects of cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis.

His innovative research deepened the understanding of how cannabinoids interact with the human body and explored their potential to treat a variety of diseases. His work has been fundamental to the advancement of cannabinoid-based medicine, providing a solid foundation for the development of innovative treatments.

Raphael Mechoulam (1930-2023)

Israeli researcher and professor, renowned for his pioneering findings in the study of cannabinoids. In 1964, Mechoulam and his team achieved a milestone by synthesizing THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis, thus marking the beginning of an era of research into its medicinal properties.

Subsequently, his research revealed the endocannabinoid system in the human body, providing a profound understanding of how cannabinoids interact with our organism. His discoveries drove significant advances in the field of medicine, opening up new therapeutic possibilities for treating various diseases.

Jack Herer (1939-2010)
